In the gorilla concept, the focus is laid on functionality for a restaurant, but aims to radiate an interesting, inviting cosiness to the visitor. The narrow outlay of the room dictates the bar and seating possibilities by nature.
The challenge was to use the room to its full potential in terms of hosting people, whilst making sure not to end up with overcrowding. The problem was solved through a series of customized seating and leaning-options, made from different sorts of wood and varnished in a light grey tone, which reflects the high quality, varied food options presented in the organic menu.
The difference in the surfaces bears a resemblance to the many shades of green found in the gorillas' natural environment- the jungle.
