Re-Use and Green it
Project Cooperation of llot llov with Treibhaus and Katerholzig during the DMY festival in Berlin.
The living room is full of junk, the balcony too bleak: broken coffee cans, hats with holes and other useless but beloved things are waiting to be assigned to new use. A gardening workshop at Katerholzig will offer a platform to rethink urban garden design under the umbrella aspect of recycling.
As an inspiration and starting point, llot llov and Treibhaus have developed and created a botanical light object. Old lamp shade frames have been joined to form a new structure. Different plants are growing in the wire mesh, playing with the light reflection. The floating installation will stay on to linger over the Katerschmaus terrace during the summer.
We therefore warmly invite you to join us on Thursday, the 7th of June 2012, between 17.00- 0.00 to come and enjoy the rooftop terrace of Katerschmaus with its beautiful Spree view and with us. Bring your old vaccuum cleaners, colanders, dolls heads and other unused decorative objects and transform them into flower and herb gardens.
Joining in and copying on purpose is encouraged.
